The METRO Accelerator is an agile and innovative program for startups in the hospitality and retail industry. It’s a 14-week program that kicks off in May 2019 and concludes in August 2019. The program is held in Berlin and the US, respectively.
The purpose of this event is to give startups the opportunity to gain business guidance and showcase their progress in front of investors and industry leaders.
The startups selected to participate in the accelerator program are set to gain:
• €120,000 worth of investment
• Mentorship from industry specialists
• Scalability across continents
Only 10 startups are selected to take part in the program. Therefore, you need to prove to the hosts that your startup is worthy. You need to submit an application in order to be considered.

4. Get in the Ring

With over 150 annual events organized in more than 100 countries, Get in the Ring gives startups and entrepreneurs the opportunity to pitch to – and connect with – investors, corporates, and like-minded businesspeople.
Winners of the Get in the Ring pitch competition will automatically get a spot at the Global Meetup 2019. Here they will be in for a 3-day business retreat where they will expand their networking horizon and grow their business connections.
Rather than offer a huge cash prize, Get in the Ring offers participants something far more valuable – recognition, connections, and credibility. In turn, this will bring in investors on their own accord.
Join a Get in the Ring event in Europe – or anywhere in the world.

5. Web Summit

PITCH is a startup competition held as part of the Web Summit event. The startup competition is open to startups that have received less than €3 million funding and have not made any major changes to their business model in the past three years.
The top 170 startups that are selected to participate in the competition will battle it out live on stage over the course of three days. This is a lifetime opportunity as startups get to present their idea in front of distinguished investor panels and influential businesspeople.
The event will take place on November 4-7, 2019 in Lisbon. Prepare your pitch deck and start packing.
